The management of Twitter yesterday, labelled another tweet of President Trump saying the tweet violated rules about “Abusive Behavior” following his announcement of engaging with “serious force” against the Black Lives Matter protesters.

President Trump tweeted that “There will never be an “Autonomous Zone” in Washington D.C., as long as he’s US President. If they try they will be met with serious force!

President Trump was reacting to protests that took place on Monday evening in Lafayette Square Park near the White House, where park police stopped demonstrators from pulling down a statue of former president Andrew Jackson.

Addressing the President Trump’s tweet, Twitter’s safety team wrote in a statement;

“We’ve placed a public interest notice on this Tweet for violating our policy against abusive behavior, specifically, the presence of a threat of harm against an identifiable group.

“Per our policies, this Tweet will remain on the service given its relevance to ongoing public conversation. Engagements with the Tweet will be limited. People will be able to Retweet with Comment, but not Like, Reply, or Retweet it.”

Twitter first placed a label on Trump’s tweets on May 26, when it determined that two of his posts about mail-in voting required fact-checking links, which prompted the US president to sign a social media Executive Order to platform of meddling in election.
