Professor Maurice Iwu, the Imo State Covid-19 task force chairman, disclosed today that thirteen Imo State lawmakers have newly tested positive for Coronavirus.
He also stated that the lawmakers have immediately gone into isolation at different centres in the state.

Recall however that, on Tuesday, June 16, a member of the Imo State House of Assembly tested positive to the Coronavirus. Now 14 Imo State lawmakers are COVID-19 positive.
Yesterday, Monday, June 22, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 9 new cases of the virus in Imo, which brought the total cases in Imo to 243.
