The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has reported another 453 new Coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday August 12.
The breakdown of the new cases across states is as follows; Lagos — 113, FCT — 72, Plateau — 59, Enugu — 55, Kaduna — 38, Ondo — 32, Osun — 26, and Ebonyi — 20.
States with fewer cases include Ogun — 9, Delta — 8, Borno — 7, Akwa Ibom — 6, Oyo — 5, Bauchi — 1, Kano — 1 and Ekiti — 1.
According to the NCDC report, a total number of 33,943 persons have recovered from the Coronavirus.

However, the total number of confirmed cases is 47,743, while a total of 956 persons have lost their life to the pandemic.
On a global scale, at least 20,812,596 coronavirus cases have been registered in 215 countries and territories. Of these, at least 13,713,408 are now considered recovered.
The novel coronavirus has killed at least 747,330 people since the outbreak began in Wuhan, China in December, 2019.
