The 100 reported COVID-19 infections by Nigeria Center for Disease Control yesterday September 6, 2020 is seen to be the country’s lowest daily figure in at least five months of the coronavirus cases in Nigeria.
The new cases were reported in 10 states only: Lagos — 39, FCT — 22, Kaduna — 19, Oyo — 7, Ebonyi — 6, Edo — 3, Katsina — 1, Ekiti — 1, Bauchi — 1 and Nasarawa — 1.
However, the newly reported cases has taken the total number of infections in the country to above 55,000.
Consequently, since the past two weeks, NCDC has been reporting fewer cases below 300, indicating that the spread of the disease in the country is gradually on the decrease.
According to the NCDC report, a total number of 43,013 confirmed persons have recovered from the Coronavirus.
However, the total number of confirmed cases is 55,005 confirmed, while a total of 1,057 persons have lost their life to the pandemic.

On a global scale, at least 27,306,438 coronavirus cases have been registered in 215 countries and territories. Of these, at least 19,381,889 are now considered recovered.
