President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former Military Administrator of Lagos and Borno States, Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa as the new Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Before his recent appointment, the close ally of the President worked assiduously as Chairman of Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse, PACEDA, between 2018 and December, 2020, along with others to develop a blue print on how to end drug abuse in Nigeria.
According to a report by the Nation, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu confirmed the appointment on Saturday January 16.
“It’s true. The President has approved General Mohammed Buba Marwa as the new NDLEA Chairman,” Shehu disclosed in a text message.
