Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, reported 481 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total cases in the country to more than 42,000.
This report is according to the latest number of cases released on Thursday, July 30, by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The numbers reported by the NCDC showed that the latest COVID-19 cases were seen in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Breakdown of the numbers,
FCT — 96, Lagos — 89, Plateau — 68, Ogun — 49, Edo — 44, Rivers — 43, Oyo — 25, Osun — 23, Delta — 15 and Enugu — 11.
States with fewer cases include Kano — 7, Kaduna — 7, Bauchi — 2, Bayelsa — 1 and Yobe — 1.
According to the NCDC report, a total number of 19,270 persons have been discharged having recovered from the Coronavirus.
However, the total number of confirmed cases is 42,689, while a total of 878 persons have lost their life to the pandemic.

This is the breakdown of the COVID-19 pandemic on the states level released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
On a global scale, as at the time of this report, at least 17,481,953 cases of coronavirus have been registered in 215 countries and territories. Of these, at least 10,941,906 are now considered recovered, Woldometer reports.
The novel coronavirus has killed at least 676,824 people since the outbreak began in Wuhan, China in December, 2019.
