Two airplanes collided at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport Lagos on Wednesday July 29. The collision was between an Airbus A330-243 owned by Middle East Airlines and a Boeing 777 airplane operated by Turkish Airlines.

According to reports, The Turkish cargo flight was parked at the tarmac when the Middle East Airlines airbus ran into it, ripping off part of the empennage of the aircraft.

However, passengers on the Turkish Airline were made to disembark and it was further learnt that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have been notified and would issue a statement on the incident.
