Marcus Rashford has taken to his Twitter handle to express his grief and disappointments over the recent tragedies going on in the world with a hashtag, #blacklivesmatter
The young English professional footballer who plays as a Forward–Left Winger for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team made the tweet today, June 1.
“I know you guys haven’t heard from me in a few days. I’ve been trying to process what’s going on in the world,” he said.

He further stated, “At a time, I’ve been asking people to come together, work together and be united, we appear to me more divided than ever.
“People are hurting and people need answers. Black lives matters. Black culture matters. black communities matter. We matter. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #justiceforahmaudarbery #justiceforbreonnataylor
Marcus Rashford joined the Manchester United club on Jan, 2016 and has been a strong and powerful footballer for the club. Wayne Rooney, once said about the young forward; “He has got a bit of everything. He is quick, he is strong. The only thing he could probably work on is his heading.”
His club manager, Solskjaer, has also said about him in a comparison with Cristiano Ronaldo; “It’s very easy to compare the two of them, yes. Both with skills, body shape, attitude, attributes – everything. The boy has every chance in the world to become a top, top player. Let’s hope he continues like this.”
